On Wednesday night, an altercation involving a number of people led to a shooting outside the Guardian Life Centre, a nursing home in Brampton.

Surveillance footage released by Peel Police officers shows the shooting.

One victim, who was stabbed repeatedly in the upper body, died at the scene. Another man received gunshot wounds to the stomach and body.

The manhunt for two men — described as black, around 25 years old, between five-foot-eight and six-foot-five — continues.

Detectives are also investigating reports of a “loud bang” that occurred about 25 minutes after the shooting.

This is not the first homicide in the city in September.

On Monday evening, around 8:45 p.m., Justin Albasayez, 31, was shot and killed near Riverwoods Shopping Centre.

On Tuesday evening, a 25-year-old man was gunned down in the city’s Parkview-Williamson Heights area.

The crime allegedly happened at the porch of a rental unit at 13165 Parkview Drive. The victim, Alejandro Trinidad, who was armed with a hammer at the time, was declared dead at the scene.

The day before, around 11:45 p.m., an 18-year-old man was gunned down at a home in Markham.
